Delivery Information


In Thing Homeware ships orders to Australian addresses only. We deliver to PO Boxes, residential and business addresses using our standard shipping service with Australia Post eParcel. When shipping to a business address, please ensure you specify the Business Name clearly to ensure a speedy delivery.  We have a postage estimator located in the shopping cart section for your convenience. We reserve the right to charge additional shipping fees for large and commercial orders.

Most orders are processed and dispatched within 1-2 business days of the order being placed.   Because our website isn't live, you will receive a confirmation email advising whether the items you have ordered are in stock and ready for dispatch.  After your order has been fulfilled, another confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provide at the time of registration.  Confirmed orders placed online between Monday to Friday will be picked, packed and dispatched from our Adelaide Store within 1-2 business days. Confirmed orders placed on the weekend or on public holidays will be dispatched on the following Monday or next business day.  In the rare event that there is a delay, we will be in touch with you to discuss the matter as soon as possible.  All orders must be signed for upon delivery.  If you are unavailable a card will be left advising that your parcel has been delivered to your nearest Australia Post Office and the time it will be available for collection.  You will also receive a second email to confirm this.

You can also provide us with an 'Authority To Leave' in the comments section at checkout.  If you do this, please ensure you select a secure spot for your parcel/s to be delivered.  Please Note: once you have given an 'Authority To Leave', In Thing Homeware and Australia Post are not responsible for any theft or damage of your items.


In Thing Homeware offers Free Delivery on orders over $100 to the following Adelaide Metro Suburbs:

Fulham Gardens
Kidman Park
Woodville Area
Royston Park
St Morris
Trinity Gardens

If your suburb is not listed please contact us on 08 8355 2719 so that we can advise whether delivery to your suburb is possible.  The $100 order value required to qualify for Free Delivery includes any promotional discounts applied, and can be made up of one or more products. Delivery costs are not included in the $100 minimum order value to qualify for Free Delivery. 

Where Free Delivery is applicable, your order will be dispatched via our In-House Delivery Service.  We will advise you, either by email or phone, when to expect delivery to occur.  It is the customer's responsibility to be present at the nominated delivery address up until the order is delivered. For all Free Delivery Orders you MUST have photo ID; and if your order was made via credit card, then the original card used for this transaction must also be provided as proof of purchase.


Regular Australia Post Delivery can take anywhere between 1-10 days from the day of dispatch, depending on the location within Australia. As a guide:

Sydney 2-4 days
Canberra 3-4 days
Melbourne 2-3 days
Brisbane 3-4 days
Adelaide 2-3 days
Perth 3-6 days
Tasmania 3-6 days
Darwin 3-6 days

Please note the above timeframes are estimates only, based on previous orders delivered to metro areas.  In some cases you may receive your order faster or slower than expected.  Be sure to allow extra time for peak periods such as Christmas, Mother’s Day and so on.

As a general guide, please allow 5-10 business days from the time you place your order until delivery using the standard shipping method.


If you choose Express Delivery at Checkout, Australia Post guarantees next business day delivery to most locations in Australia for parcels received before 4pm AEST on Monday-Friday.  If you choose Express Delivery and your postcode is not eligible for next business day Express Delivery, we will still dispatch as Express Delivery however you may not receive your order the next business day (though usually a lot faster than Regular Australia Post Delivery)

In Thing Homeware offers FREE in-store pick up from our Retail Store in Findon, Adelaide. To pick up your order in-store, once you input an SA postcode you can just select the 'In-store Pickup' option at the checkout.  For all in-store pickups, you MUST bring photo ID; and if your order was made via credit card, then the original card used for this transaction must also be provided as proof of purchase.

We will contact you, either via phone or email, to advise you when your items are ready for pickup.  This will usually occur within one business day.

To check the status of your order, please log in to your account where all order information is accessible. Once your order has been dispatched from our store you will receive a delivery tracking number – this will be emailed to you directly, as well as being available to view via your account.

If you would like to insure your order for loss or damage in transit, please confirm this option at the Checkout. In Thing Homeware packages items very securely for transit with product protection in mind; however for peace of mind we advise confirming this option during Checkout.
